I hope these shows might be different than what you normally see on these kinds of lists. I didn't want to do the typical The Office, Parks and Rec, Shameless, etc. We know those shows are good, I wanted to give you guys some unknown gems! So here they are:
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997-2003):
Buffy is one of my favorite shows of all time. I binged watched Buffy the summer going into my freshman year of High School. It was a great coming of age show IMO. This show means so much to me and it taught me a lot of valuable life lessons for a fourteen year old. Watch it and then come back and debate with me whether you are team Spike or Angel (I'm torn).
Watch It On: Hulu, DVD
Smallville (2001-2011):
This is the first show I ever binge watched way back in 6th grade. The first few seasons are my favorite, when Clark Kent is just a confused teenager navigating High School and his superpowers. It's got angst, mystery, romance, and more. Come for the story, stay for the wholesome American (not too mention extremely attractive) Tom Welling. Familiar faces like Jensen Ackles and Justin Hartley have appearances on this show, too. There are 10 seasons of this show, so it'll last you awhile!
Watch It On: Hulu, DVD
Schitt's Creek (2015-):
This show is hilarious and easy to watch. It stars Eugene Levy (American Pie) and Catherine O'Hara (Home Alone). It's about a rich family who get their home and assets taken away however, they are left with one asset which is a small town called Schitt's Creek. This is the perfect show to watch when you just want to relax and not think too much.

Peaky Blinders (2013-)
This show isn't for everyone but if you're into historical dramas, British TV, gangsters, and Cillian Murphy this show might be for you. I found the first few minutes of the premiere confusing but once I got into it, I was hooked. It's about a gang in 1920s Birmingham, England and how they are adjusting to the changing times. The acting, the soundtrack (ARCTIC MONKEYS), and storylines will blow your mind.
Watch It On: Netflix
Victoria (2016-)
Another historical show that does well in filling in that void that Downton Abbey left. The romance in this so is so pure, Victoria and Albert will make your heart swell. The storylines are not as intense as Downton could get, but it's just as fun to watch. It starts at the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign and details her life and the struggles she faced as she becomes a female monarch.
Watch It On: PBS
Lost in Space (2018-)
I am a hardcore fan of the original 1960s show but this reboot does the original justice. It's similar to the OG but it adapts well to a new modern audience (the 1960s version could get very goofy). The locations are breathtaking, the characters are well written, and the storyline is well set up. You care for the characters right off the bat and surprisingly, for Netflix, its rated PG so you can watch this around family members without getting embarrassed. However, because of this, more mature audiences will probably expect more dangerous or violent situations. It's produced by someone who also does Game of Thrones, but it is not like GOT at all. Don't let that deter you though, this show is amazing.
