Also, sorry this recap is so late! I was on vacation.
Game of Thrones episodes before the finale are always big, explosive episodes with huge battles, deaths, or reveals. I have mixed feelings about episode 6, "Beyond the Wall" for several reasons. Part of me liked it, part of me hated it, all of me was a bit disappointed. I've seen a lot of mixed reactions to the episode. Casual viewers who are just along for the ride may have liked it more than viewers who are more invested, like me. As far as penultimate episodes go, I'd put this one as number 6 or 7 in a top 7 list. Let's get in to my five favorite and least favorite moments.
Five Best Moments:
1.) Jon and Dany. Okay, I know it was rushed, everything this season has been rushed. I know people either love it or hate it, but I love it. I've been waiting for this moment since the show started, since I picked up the first A Song of Ice and Fire book. I love Emilia and Kit and I love Jon and Dany! I am trash for it. Also, that pairing (romantic or platonic) as been being set up since Game of Thrones came out in 1996.
2.) Dany and the Dragons saving the day. I knew it! I knew she would go help them. I think it would have made more sense if she decided to go after being too worried to sit around and wait, instead of Gendry sending a raven. Logically, can a raven go from the wall to Dragonstone that quickly?
3.) Tormund and the Hound. Im glad he pointed out Sandor's sad eyes because he does have sad eyes and he needs comfort! Sandor's character development kinda didn't really happen in the show like it may be happening in the books (major spoilers so I won't get too into it incase you want to read).
4.) White Walkers\Wights in general. I get hype everytime we seem them and I think we got a little taste of season 8 with dany and the dragon fire.
5.) ZOMBIE DRAGON!!! Did not see that coming. RIP Viserion. The question now is will it breath ice or blue fire?
Five Worst Moments:
1.) Winterfell. You may already know how much I hate this trash plot, but if not, know that I hate this trash plot. They have made Arya out to be some psychopathic, unsympathetic, serial killer and Sansa as the poor girl who everyone is mean to. I dont even know where the heck Bran is suppose to be during all of this and I'm tired of them pinning the two sisters against each other. Yes, they had a bad past and yes, they would have a lot to work through, but they would never act like this.

2.) The missing logic. I wont go into all the plot holes this episode has but check out this post about some of them.
3.) The Suicide Squad vs. The Wights was an okay battle. Some cool moments, some plot holes, a lot of bro'ing. I did expect more people to die and they didn't so I guess thats a good thing. Overall, meh.
4.) Benjen Stark's quick death. He deserved so much more. Jon and Benjen deserved a longer moment together. He also could have rode on that horse with Jon even if he isn't able to go beyond the wall. My boy also would have taken down more wights than he did before he got killed.
5.) I know I've mentioned this, but i'm still salty. Why do The Hound, Gendry, Beric, etc. not mention Arya?! They talk about dicks and laugh at what happen to Gendry but they don't mention Jon's favorite sister and the things she did for them? Sounds fake but okay.

Those are my thoughts, what are yours? Are you as stressed about the plot holes as I am? What do you hope to see from this Sunday's finale?
I'll be trying not to think about how another (shorter) GOT season has come and gone and who even knows when season 8 will hit our screens. Till then, xx.
